Precision water misting nozzles are another nozzle often used for home snowmaking purposes. They are most often used for nucleation in external mix designs, but can also be used to regulate nucleation water flow in internal mix designs as well. Some designs have also used this type of nozzle for low-pressure fan gun builds, although larger orifice sizes are recommended.
This nozzle produces a fine, hollow-cone spray at low water pressures. It is also suitable for applications such as greenhouse misting, humidification, and dust control.
